ICSC DEVELOPERS CONFERENCE
Las Vegas Convention Center
DEAL ROOM
The mission of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) is to ensure the retail real estate industry is broadly recognized for the integral role it plays in the social, civic and economic vibrancy of communities across the globe. Founded in 1957, they have over 70,000 members today.
This project included a stop on the east coast in New York for a focused deal-making event, leading up to the full conference on the west coast in Las Vegas. The video above was played on a silent loop during the cocktail party thrown for key accounts - held in a rooftop venue overlooking the holiday tree displayed in Rockefeller Center.

THE OCULUS - GROUND ZERO
The center of attention in Westfield’s portfolio of assets at the time was the new retail real estate at the base of the oculus located at ground zero in Manhattan. This ground breaking sculptural element was surrounded by an emotional history that made this a particularly sensitive part of the project.
It was of vital importance that the proper reverence be given to the asset. We chose to place it in the heart of the space, making it as much a tribute as a showcase of the work.
The US Properties were showcased on the left side of the ballroom (shown in it’s entirety in the schematic above) and the global properties were showcased on the right (close-ups shown below) bringing the full impact of Westfield’s worldwide presence to bear on discussions. This provided a persuasive setting for sales representatives to have meaningful and fruitful negotiations on-site.
The unit itself was fabricated in a modular fashion to ensure the ability to amortize the cost over at least two years, as well as easy set-up and break-down. Each vignette was backlit giving a sophisticated look and feel to each property.
